mbfwa. manning cartell
I am finding more and more as I shop that I have an affinity for Manning Cartell outerwear. I love this Kahlo-inspired collection. The silhouettes are beautiful, prints are perfect, the pieces extremely wearable and the textures divine. Not to mention the shoes - I am all about the shoes!

mbfwa. dylan cooper
Dylan Coopers debut Spring 2013 collection was a gorgeous print party. The 2011 Project Runway winner did a fabulous job in my humble opinion. The prints are gorgeous and completely on trend and there is no getting past the divine detailing. Does anybody know where he is stocking?

mbfwa. gail sorronda
Gail Sorronda's "oh my goth" collection for Spring 2013.
The designer doesn't usually stray from a monochromatic palette so the injection of pink, green and yellow was a wonderful surprise. I particularly likes the styling, and the shoes have me yearning for the jellies I owned as a 5 year old.

mbfwa. romance was born
Romance was Born SS 12/13. What a way to kick of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia! It was like Marvel exploded onto bodies in sequins and clever comic-strip-esque digital prints. I love some of the more architectural looks and really I want someone to have a superhero party so I can wear this body suit. SO amazing. I actually travelled to New York with the girl that dreamt up that one whilst interning there... Anyway, enjoy my favourite looks!

collection. ash to gold trans 13
I have just come across this wonderful Australian designer - who happens to be based in Brisbane! ASH TO GOLD have a flagship in Fortitude Valley, and I will definitely been taking a trip in there tomorrow. I love these looks from their transeasonal 13 collection. They'll be showing at MBFWA next week, so keep your eye out for them.
This collection really does it for me, striking the balance between forward fashion and wearability. I am a big fan of architectural aspects of the collection - loving the layered scalloped sleeves, muted colour palette with just the right pops of bright and the choice of print. I can see myself wearing the yellow frock very soon. The lookbook styling is also clever, showing the versatility of the individual pieces.
I'll conclude with a big fat get-in-my-closet-right-now.
